Good
Staff were friendly, professional and helpful especially Cecilia. Breakfast was great with a good variety for every taste.
Didn't like the fact that we had to go back down to reception after checking in as the bathroom ceiling in our room was unacceptable with large brown water marks on the ceiling and tiles not in place. In saying that the staff were quick to change our room and professional in there conduct.

What was the highlight of Scandic The Mayor
Older style hotel. Comfortable and well located.
We had a superior king room which was spacious and comfortable. We were over a main road which was quite noisy so we could not leave the windows open until late. The hotel is undergoing works but that was not too bad. The location is very central and the bus stops are right outside the building. The restaurant was closed for dinner. The breakfast was the best on our travels, We were there on Sunday and the breakfast room was very full and we just managed to find a table. The choices were amazing.
There is nowhere to pull up outside the hotel. We were in a car and had to illegally park to unload our cases. We booked because there was onsite parking. We were not advised that the parking was not available due to the building works. We had to drive about 10 mins to the car park (we got lost) which was in a shopping centre. Being Saturday we struggled to find a park. The drive was much further than the walk back to the hotel. It would have been good to know all this before we arrived.
